By completion of the course, students will:
- Recall and describe the European priorities in employment improvement and sustainability, understanding their foundational importance in shaping policies and initiatives.
- Explain the principles of circular economy, emphasizing sustainability and the shift from a linear to a circular model, and evaluate their significance in reducing waste and promoting resource reuse.
- Demonstrate knowledge in circular practices, including creative reuse of plastics and tinkering, enhancing problem-solving, creativity, and contributing to environmental sustainability efforts.
- Analyze and evaluate the role and importance of co-design, demonstrating a deep understanding of this term and its implications in various contexts.
- Identify and utilize a variety of co-design techniques, such as brainstorming, mind mapping, prototyping, and user testing, to address design challenges effectively.
- Understand the process of processing and upcycling plastic materials into new, valuable items, raising awareness of the importance of recycling and contributing to waste reduction efforts.
